On Madeira, people like to party a lot. Each month offers interesting events such as the jazz festival, the classic car ralley, the PGA Golf Tour, marine festivals, olive festivals, film festivals, lemon festivals etc.
Christmas
The pre-Christmas time is especially nice. All the streets of Funchal and many places of the island are lovingly decorated and shine. Every street in the old town has its own theme. In the city park in Funchal Wichtelzüge are built for children and stalls invite you to eat. Until about mid-January you can admire this really nice decoration. Many helpers decorate flowers and make the city even more beautiful.
